Internships and fellowships
At SRAL, we offer annual internships and fellowships for conservators in training and recent graduates.
Internships
Each year, we offer internship opportunities for students in conservation studies seeking practical experience during their Bachelor's or Master's programs.
Only candidates from accredited programs are eligible. The duration of the internship is flexible and will be determined in consultation with the internship supervisor. Interns are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses. European students may explore funding options through Erasmus scholarships.
Applications for internships should include a motivation letter, a curriculum vitae, and a letter of recommendation from the study supervisor, along with the preferred internship period and choice of one restoration department (paintings, polychrome sculpture, or historical interiors).
Fellowships
Currently, there are no open fellowship positions. For updates on future vacancies, please monitor our website and social media channels.
SRAL regularly offers fellowships for conservators who have completed their master’s degree from an accredited restoration program. These fellowships provide the opportunity to gain supervised experience in one of our restoration departments, such as paintings, polychrome sculpture, or historical interiors. Fellowships typically last for 12 months and offer remuneration equivalent to the minimum wage.
