Kick-off Borgharen

The conservation studio on the first floor of the Bonnefanten is the ideal place for large projects. In December 2024, we successfully completed the conservation treatment of several large historical wall hangings. No time to lose, as the next interior project with large wall coverings is already in the starting blocks.

Kasteel Borgharen

The large wall coverings from Borgharen Castle will be restored starting in January 2025. These paintings, created in 1790 by Pierre-Michel de Lovinfosse, are part of the interior of Borgharen Castle. The wall coverings come from the salon of the tower room on the bel étage, which was decorated in the late 18th century by the Maastricht architect Matthias Soiron.

The canvases are installed in the studio on the first floor of the Bonnefanten, and curious museum visitors can already take a look. Starting in January, you can watch our team work on this special project.
