SRAL (Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg) is seeking a Junior Conservator - Paintings | Job vacancy for a paid position | Full-time starting from May 1, 2024

Working at SRAL

SRAL is a dynamic restoration studio with a multidisciplinary team of conservators specialising in various areas, including polychrome sculptures, easel paintings on different supports, modern and contemporary art, murals large format paintings, and historical interiors. Our team is adept at tackling a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from easel paintings to expansive interiors, where different disciplines synergise and complement each other seamlessly.

An important aspect of our work entails conducting (pre)research on applied art material and techniques, analysing paint cross-sections, studying the context of the artwork, and decision-making regarding treatment strategies. Additionally, SRAL consistently provides recommendations on preventive conservation measures.

Our primary facility, located in the Wiebengahal in Maastricht, accommodates several restoration studios and research facilities. Adjacent to this, within the Bonnefanten, we operate within the 'open studio', situated on the 1st floor alongside exhibition spaces.
